The style of Aikijujutsu taught here is Daito-ryu, a classical martial art tradition going back to the Samurai. It is the foundation art from which Aikido was created. Aiki Martial Arts Institute is the only authorized mainline Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu dojo in Maryland. The first part of class will teach traditional Aikijujutsu techniques and the later part will emphasize practical applications of these techniques for use in self-defense and possible MMA scenarios. | ||
